Expertise summary

Emerging data technologies can make or break your business. Knowing what's available and how to choose what’s right for you is bewildering. As a university lecturer, trainer and consultant I give business leaders the skills and understanding to use data to transform their business. I’m not an ‘IT guy’, I’m a business expert with an engineering background. I understand the technology - but my focus is on using it for commercial success.

• I help businesses to understand their customers' needs much more deeply (by fully using websites and digital strategies to CRM, Big Data analytics and Internet of Things sources).

• I focus on how businesses can use technologies like Robot Process Automation, the Internet of Things, AI and Big Data for profit, customer service and product development.

• I give you the tools to create value from your data – through monetising it, creating new services and understanding your customers.

Before I was a university lecturer I worked in management consultancy and customer satisfaction, engineering and logistics. I have 30 years’ experience of leading business improvement projects. I have international academic and commercial experience in Europe, North America and South East Asia. I have an MBA and a PhD from Manchester Business School, as well as Bachelors and Masters degrees in engineering.
