Ansgar has published on topics ranging from Policy and Governance of Algorithmic Systems (AI), data-privacy, AI Ethics, AI Standards, bio-inspired Robotics, AI and Computational Neuroscience to experimental Human Behaviour/Perception studies.
Previous media experience includes providing commentary about Imams Online for BBC Radio Nottingham and published articles in The Conversation.
He has worked in Japan and Taiwan.

Ansgar worked with the European Parliament Research Services on "A governance Framework for Algorithmic Transparency and Accountability". He works with ITforChange, JustNetCoalition and ThirdWorldNetwork on advising e-commerce trade negotiations.
Ansgar has written and contributed to articles for The Conversation, BBC, Forrester Report, WIRED, Business Insider, etc. He also provided expert commentary for BBC, Sky, CNBC Arabia, TRT, RT.
As chair of IEEE 7003 Standard for Algorithmic Bias Considerations working group, and Bias Focus Group leader for IEEE Ethics Certification Program for Autonomous and Intelligent Systems, Ansgar works with global teams to develop industry standards and certification for algorithmic systems.
