See the full timetable (PDF)
How to register
Students should complete the health centre registration forms on pages 23-26 in their own Welcome Guide (PDF)
- Attend one of the registration events above, with: medical/vaccination history and NHS number (if you have one)
Which health centre?
The University benefits from a doctor's surgery based on its University Park Campus. The practice specialises in looking after students and staff of the University, their families and dependants.
All students with regular access to University Park can register with Cripps Health Centre:
Sutton Bonington campus
Students based at Sutton Bonington can choose to register with a surgery closer to their campus.
We strongly recommend that all students are up to date with vaccinations before coming to university.
Some illnesses that spread quickly amongst large groups of people can be easily prevented by vaccinations given routinely to children and young adults.
For UK residents, the vaccinations include:
- two doses of the MMR vaccine
- School leaving booster course
- HPV vaccine (female only)
Meningitis and scepticaemia
All first-time university students up to the age of 25 are being offered the Men ACWY vaccine as part of the NHS vaccination programme.
Older teenagers and university students are at high risk of infection because they tend to live in close contact with lots of people in shared accommodation, such as halls of residence.
It is recommended that students get the vaccine two weeks before starting university, however the vaccine will also be available once registered at The University of Nottingham Health Service.
