Undergraduate Open Days 2023

Find out where your subject-specific activities will be held on our open day. We have subject talks and stands running from 9.30am to 4.30pm across our three campuses.

We also have general activities and talks throughout the day. This will cover information you need to know about student life including campus tours, sports talks and accommodation viewings.

Please note: Some subjects won't be holding talks, but don't worry, all subjects will have a subject stand at the open day for you to talk to staff and students or you can watch talks about our subjects and University life on Open Days on demand.

If you are attending the Graduate Entry Medicine open day, this will take place at the Royal Derby Hospital on Saturday 1 July only.

Talks and activities include information about admissions and finance as well as a series of practical sessions to give you a flavour of what it's like to study Graduate Entry Medicine with us.

We recommend you plan your travel to our open days in advance. Sustainability is important to us here at Nottingham, so we'd appreciate it if you could use public transport where possible. 

If you're visiting University Park or Jubilee Campus, here's some information that you may find useful:

• Train – Book your train to Nottingham Railway Station and on arrival, our friendly helpers in blue shirts will direct you to the free campus shuttle bus.
• Coach – The coach station in Nottingham is a 5-minute walk from the railway station so, you could still make use of the free campus shuttle bus.
• Tram – University Park Campus has its very own tram stop on the Hucknall-Toton Lane line, which can be used to travel to and from the city centre. 
• Park and ride - You can use the tram line to park and ride to University Park Campus. You can park at the Toton Lane stop, located close to junction 25 on the M1 and get off at the University of Nottingham stop.
• Bus – Our campuses are well connected to Nottinghamshire and beyond through a wide range of local bus services.
• Car – There is free car parking all day on University Park Campus and Blue Badge parking on Jubilee Campus. For free parking, use postcode NG7 2QB for the North entrance or NG7 2QE for the West entrance.

For our visitors at Sutton Bonington Campus, you can get here by:

• Train – Book your train to Loughborough Railway Station and on arrival our friendly helpers in blue shirts will direct you to the free campus shuttle bus.
• Bus – Our campuses are well connected to Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and beyond through a wide range of local bus services.
• Coach to Loughborough station – National Express runs to Loughborough station, and our free shuttle bus will be waiting to take guests to the Sutton Bonington campus.
• Coach to Nottingham station – The coach station in Nottingham is next door to the Railway Station. If travelling by coach you could make use of the free campus shuttle bus to University Park, and then transfer to the Sutton Bonington shuttle bus once on campus. Just find a student helper in a blue t-shirt when you arrive.
• Car – We have free car parking all day on our Sutton Bonington Campus. Use postcode LE12 5RD in your GPS and follow directions to open day car parking on arrival.

There will also be a free shuttle bus service between our three campuses throughout the day.

Open days are a really good way to decide if a university is right for you. So it's important you cover everything you need to make the right decision about your future. Here are some top tips for getting the most out of an open day. 

All of the buildings and roads on our campuses are recognised by Google Maps, so you can use this to navigate around on the day.

You can also walk between University Park Campus and Jubilee Campus in just 25 minutes.

Alternatively, there are free shuttle buses that run around University Park Campus, between campuses, to visit self-catered accommodation and to the local train stations.

There are lots of accommodation options for you to choose from on all three campuses.

There are different room types to suit your budget and living preferences, so you can be comfortable while living at university. When making your decision, think about which campus you will be studying at, whether you want catered or self-catered accommodation, and then narrow down your search by taking the time to visit the different halls while you're with us.

We also have accommodation options for those with additional access needs or individual requirements. Please speak to a member of the accommodation team during the open day to find out more.

The Students’ Union is at the heart of student life. It's situated right on campus to make sure you have the best possible university experience - from the day you accept your place, to the day you graduate.

Drop in to the Students’ Union inside the Portland Building to find out about student groups and volunteering opportunities. You can take a self-guided tour to see all the facilities, services and spaces created just for you.
