10/2015 - Current: Phd Research student at the University of Nottingham.

09/2005 - 07/2007: MSc in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Milan

06/2006 - 10/2006: Special volunteer at National Institute of Health in Bethesda (USA)

Expertise Summary

My interdisciplinary project consists in studying bacteria-surface interactions. During my PhD I will use cell culture techniques and different optical systems such as Differential Interference Contrast, Total Internal Reflective Fluorescence and Holography microscopes. I am interested in the interaction between bacteria and different material surfaces and in particular I will adopt a single cell approach through microfluidics devices.
