I registered as a pharmacist in 2011, having graduated with a 1st Class MPharm degree from Liverpool John Moores University in 2010.
I undertook my preregistration year at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. After registration, I moved to Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. I completed my postgraduate diploma with the University of Bradford in 2014, with distinction.
In 2014, I moved to Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. I completed the Independent and Supplementary Prescribing for Pharmacists module with the University of Leeds in 2017, and am registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as an Independent Prescriber.
In 2018, I moved to Nottingham to take up my current post of Senior Clinical Pharmacist / Clinical Teacher; which is a joint post between the University of Nottingham and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As part of this role, I currently work mornings on the surgical wards at Queen's Medical Centre and afternoons at the University, teaching on the clinical aspects of the course. Within the hospital, I also act as a tutor to a diploma student.
During my time as a student, I was part of the British Pharmaceutical Students' Association (BPSA) and undertook the role of Annual Conference Organiser, Pennine Area Coordinator, Graduate Officer and Secretary General. I worked closely with organisations to represent the voice of pharmacy students. Following this, I was a member of the Steering Committee of the West Yorkshire Local Practice Forum before relocating to Nottingham.
