Post-graduate Research Student,
Title: Preparation of Etoposide-Polyglycerol Adipate nanoparticles for improved local delivery
Supervisor: Martin Garnett
As a step forward in the search for solution to the problem of improving the delivery of Etoposide to cancer cells, my research is focused on formulating the podophyllotoxins such as Etoposide and Teniposide into Polyglycerol adipate nanoparticles by various methods for improved local delivery (CBTRC). This is proposed for use in the treatment of medulloblastoma especially in children. An improved understanding of the interactions between polymer and drug will be exploited to obtain nanoparticle delivery systems with optimum drug-loading, drug release and cytotoxicity.
