Dr Yazdan Madani is an Assistant Professor at school of pharmacy. His area of research is on nano medicine and drug delivery for diagnosis and treatment of cancer. He is a Pharmacist independent prescriber registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain with over 10 years of experience in academia, research, industry, community pharmacy and integrated urgent care unit. He studied pharmacy at Bradford school of pharmacy in the UK. This was followed by a PhD in nano medicine from University College London and MBA from Edinburgh Business School. Prior to his role at Nottingham university he worked as a Pharmacist manager in community pharmacy, Research fellow at Royal Free London NHS foundation trust, Postdoctoral researcher at University College London, Visiting lecturer at Hertfordshire University-UK, Pharmaceutical scientist at a biotech pharma company in London, Clinical pharmacist adviser in urgent care unit at Surrey NHS foundation trust and last but not least as a clinical lead pharmacist at Oxford Health NHS foundation trust. He has supervised several postgraduate students in the area of nano medicine, published many papers at high impact factor journals and participated as a keynote speaker at various international conferences in Europe.
