Dr Valerie has joined the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus in July 2017 and will contribute to teaching within the Pharmacology & Biology and Medicines & Patients Teaching Groups. Valerie is a double University of Nottingham graduate (MPharm and PhD). She brings previous experience in hospital pharmacy practice in the UK where she also completed a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma. Valerie is a registered pharmacist both in the UK and Malaysia. Her research interests include the link between bronchial epithelial permeability and the effects of cannabinoids and/or hydrogen sulfide in regulating airway inflammatory responses and, in future, may include the exploration of medicinal properties of the Bornean indigenous plants.
