Biography

William Marshall obtained an undergraduate BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham in 2013. This was followed by a MSc in Drug Discovery and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2016 from the same institution. During the MSc he worked on a research project in the design, synthesis and charectisation of novel "soft" beta-adrenoceptor antagonists incorporting esters as metabolically-labile groups which reduced activity once hydrolysed. Currently he is a doctoral student within the Division of Biomolecular Science and Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Nottingham on a joint PhD program with Monash University.
