Postgraduate Research Student,
Akosua graduated from the University of East Anglia (UEA) with a First Class Master of Pharmacy degree in 2014. During her time at UEA, she completed a 10-week summer placement at Novartis, Horsham, as well as a 5-week placement with Boots Chemist. She undertook her final year Masters' project in Medicinal Chemistry with Prof. A Ganesan working on an epigenetic target as a potential for cancer therapy.
Upon graduating from UEA, Akosua completed a split pre-registration programme with Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, and GSK, Harlow. Akosua is now a GPhC registered pharmacist and joined the CDT in Advance Therapeutics and Nanomedicines in September. She will undertake her first training project in polymer chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Cameron Alexander and Dr. Giuseppe Mantovani.
