Current Research

Valentine's role under the Astropharmacy and Astromedicine Research hub, involves developing a synthetic biologic technology for the on-demand flexible pharmacy manufacturing in extreme environments. The vision of his current research is to develop a cell-free protein expression system from an extremophile that will function within a microfluidic platform and enable the on-site production of therapeutic proteins.
