Institute for Policy and Engagement
Public engagement

Public engagement

Public engagement is about sharing and involving others in our research. Through public engagement we can inspire people of all ages, gain insights and share tools to help make sense of a complex and changing world.

Public engagement activity can range from outreach activities in schools, to patient involvement, citizen science and collaborative research projects. If you're an academic or research staff the Institute can help you to formulate high-quality public engagement initiatives, through training, events, networks and one-to-one support.

For an overview of how we have worked with staff from across the university to embed new skills, build connections and reach communities read our 'Public engagement summary report 2021-22'.
