Science in the Park

Science in the Park is a free family aimed science event held at Wollaton Park on 7 March 2020, 11am-3pm.

The full programme is still in development but activities will include:

  • guided walks by the RSPB Local Group
  • the Wonders of the Microscopic World,
  • how nature can be beneficial to people’s mental and physical wellbeing,
  • some amazing things learned when earning their “I am a Physicist!” badge by Girlguiding Nottinghamshire
  • Marvellous Minibeasts.

There will also be a series of short lectures throughout the day, this includes Tom Hartman of the University of Nottingham with his talk about Tyrannosaurs, “A Farewell to Arms”.
