Clingendael - International Negotiations workshop

Effective Negotiations in an International Context.  Training for SPIR MA and Y4 MSci Students by Clingendael, Netherlands Institute of International Relations

On 14 and 15 February, MA and Y4 MSci students followed a two-day training course in international negotiations, delivered by Clingendael, the prestigious Netherlands Institute of International Relations.  The students undertook the same training delivered to civil servants, government officials and trade negotiators across the world.  It covered the theory behind negotiations; assessment of your own negotiating strengths and weaknesses;  small scale bargaining and then full international multilateral negotiations.  From the photos, it appears negotiations were mutually agreeable!
