School of Politics and International Relations launches two paid placement opportunities

The School of Politics and International Relations is pleased to support two paid placements working in the area of student engagement. The successful candidates will work with the school's Digital Communications Officer and Director of the School's Learning Community Forum to:

  • create student-centred content for the School's social media accounts and website
  • assist with the creation of student-centred events/initiatives designed to foster community within the school

Example activities could include: 

  • creating materials like ‘day in the life’ narratives of students around campus or in Nottingham
  • recording conversations with fellow students and lecturers about course content
  • structured interviews with module leaders about the kinds of topics that incoming students can expect to study
  • running surveys to gather student feedback on events, content, training needs, etc
  • assisting with designing and promoting student-centred events

The successful candidates will be appointed for one day a week (7 hours) for a period of 10 weeks during the spring semester and paid at a rate of £9.66 per hour (£10.83 inc. holiday pay).

Deadline for applications: 9am Monday 10 January 2022 (late applications will not be considered)

Eligibility: These placements are open to students based on degree programmes owned by the School of Politics and International Relations.
