Isabella is a doctoral researcher in the Politics department. Her research focuses on water and she will explore how Amartya Sen's entitlement approach could be extended to analyse distribution issues. In order to demonstrate this, she will use the case of the Mekong river. She is currently associated with the Asia Research Institute.
Before starting her doctoral studies, Isabella completed an MA in International Law, Security and Terrorism at the University of Nottingham. Her MA dissertation looked at the 'Modern Child Soldier' and explored why some children are drawn into conflict. She also holds a BA in Politics from Nottingham Trent University, where she spent time in Budapest, Hungary studying Political Science at Corvinus University of Budapest.
She has also worked for a number of NGO's, Local Government and for an MP.
