Biography

Doctoral Researcher on Russian Foreign policy and Neo-Realism, with a special focus on Ukraine, under the supervision of Dr Bettina Renz and Dr Matthew Rendall.

Foreign affairs columnist for War on the Rocks, National Interest, Quillette Magazine, Interpreter Magazine, Russia Direct and China.org.cn, and regular analyst for Center of Land Warfare, New Delhi.

Funded by the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship for Research Excellence (International), University of Nottingham.

Previously completed Master of Journalism and Mass Communication from Sikkim Manipal University in India with Grade A.

Went on to complete Master of International Studies from the University of Otago, New Zealand, with Distinctions in International Politics and Global Economy.

Awarded the Coursework Masters Scholarship at the University of Otago.

Spends a lot of time tweeting @MrMaitra, at the expense of real life, and incurs the wrath of everyone around with his casual sarcasm. Trying to cure both, without success.
