Biography

I received my PhD in Psychology from Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) after completing a project investigating the role of vision on haptic spatial representation. Afterwards, a series of post-doctoral fellowships help me to fully mature my research skills. My first faculty position was at Sabanci University (Turkey), where I worked as an Assistant Prof. Aside pursuing my research activities, at Sabanci University I acquired substantial teaching experience. After undertaking a short research position at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), I joined the University of Nottingham Malaysia as an Associate Prof in 2019. My main interests include: multisensory integration, spatial memory, sensory substitution, and brain stimulation.
