Current Research

My research aims at understanding how we use cognitive control to suppress salient (i.e. eye-catching) visual distractions in our environment. I am particularly interested in investigating the trajectory of this higher-order skill in developmental and ageing research. I am using a modified visual-search task to assess this question, with the aim of using psychophyics in the future.

Past Research

My past research has utilized visual-search tasks to assess goal-maintenance abilities in children and adults to compare their attentional orienting towards their task-at-hand and away from distractions.
