In the recent Research Excellent Framework (REF 2014) the School was part of a unit of assessment (Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience) that was ranked in the top 10 in the UK for research power. All aspects of our research environment were judged to be conducive to producing research of world-leading or internationally excellent quality, in terms of its vitality and sustainability. Furthermore a large majority (80%) of the research outputs submitted were judged to be internationally excellent or of world-leading quality in terms of originality, significance and rigour.
