The School of Psychology is home to some of the world's brightest and most innovative students as well as world-leading academic staff from areas across psychology.

To help support our students we have several generous scholarships available to new students, no matter where in the world you are from. As a university we are passionate about nurturing a diverse, high-achieving cohort of students. We do this by ensuring we recruit students from the widest available pool of talented individuals.

Important information

  • Amount per scholarship: £1,500
  • Application deadline: Sunday 3 July 2022 at 23.59pm UK time
  • Applications are open to both Home and International applicants
  • To be eligible you must have applied for a Psychology postgraduate taught degree and have been made an offer at time of application

What are my chances of being awarded a scholarship?

While high grades will help your application this is not the only thing we are looking for. When applying consider the question Why do you wish to study at the School of Psychology and what factors have driven this desire. We are also looking for candidates to highlight why they will benefit from the award and show us ways they have used their love of psychology to help the wider community or drive change.  


How will I receive my scholarship?

You will receive your scholarship as either a bursary, or as a tuition fee reduction. You will be contacted towards the end of your first semester to confirm your preference.


What if none of these scholarships are suitable for me? 

You may be eligible for University based funding, please check the bursaries and University of Nottingham scholarship pages for further information.
