Professor Annamaria La Chimia works as part of the Rights Lab's Business and Economies Programme on public procurement, and as a co-supervisor of a Rights Lab PhD student project on trafficking across Latin America. She has worked on slavery and the procurement policies of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Her broader expertise is on European Law, International Trade Law and development policies. She has acted as an expert advisor for the UK Independent Commission for Aid Impact and the European Commission, and as a consultant for the NGO ActionAid and the Commonwealth Secretariat.
