Rights Lab Professor of Modern Slavery Statistics


Sir Bernard Silverman FRS leads the Rights Lab's work on estimating slavery prevalence, as part of its Data and Measurement Programme. From 2010 to 2017, he was the Chief Scientific Advisor to the Home Office. A pioneer of computational statistics, he is a member of the UK Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner’s Advisory Panel, and serves as an advisor to the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery and the United Nations University Modern Slavery Knowledge Platform.
