Email: Katrina.Peake2@nottingham.ac.uk

Dr. Katrina Peake works as part of the Rights Lab's Law and Policy Programme to understand antislavery efforts in the context of international trade, investment, and the ILO's Decent Work framework. This includes work mapping modern slavery across trade and investment agreements between the UK and the Indo-Pacific. Katrina’s research includes a focus on decent work in the garment industry in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, where she examines the potential to promote secure employment and labour rights in the garment industry as an effective means of eliminating slavery. Her research background is in EU trade and sustainable development instruments, including how far they promote labour rights in the Ready-Made Garment industry of South and Southeast Asia.
