Laura Cordisco Tsai

Dr. Laura Cordisco Tsai is a Visiting Professor of Human Trafficking and Gender-Based Violence in the Rights Lab’s Health and Communities Programme. Her expertise is trauma-informed, survivor-centred, and community-based services for people who have experienced human trafficking and/or gender-based violence, including crisis intervention, community mental health, and economic empowerment programming, among other areas. As a social work researcher, trainer, and practitioner, her work includes a focus on the implementation of evidence-based practices and practice-based research in partnership with survivors and communities. Dr. Cordisco Tsai holds extensive experience in community-based participatory research (CBPR) and research co-led with survivors, including arts-based methods for participatory action research.
