Rights Lab Research Fellow in Human and Environment Interactions
Madeleine Ellis works as part of the Rights Lab's Measurement and Geographies team to understand the environmental degradation-climate change-modern slavery nexus across landscapes, sectors, and geographies. She focuses in particular on integrating and modelling modern slavery data obtained through primary survey research with secondary environmental data to understand interactions. Her research background includes using interaction network data to combine the fields of mathematics and international development. She combines multiple disciplines including computational sociology, geospatial science, and the digital economy.
