Rights Lab Professor of Banking and Finance
Professor Meryem Duygun is part of the Rights Lab's Business and Economies Programme where she is developing work on modern slavery and financial technologies (FinTech). This includes analysing financial flows from slavery and trafficking, and exploring the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the financial services industry to tackle financial crime and modern slavery. She directs the University of Nottingham Fintech Research Network, and is the President of IFABS (the International Finance and Banking Society). Her wider expertise is in the areas of banking, risk, and financial technologies.
