Rights Lab Research Fellow in Trafficking, Migration and Displacement

Dr Svitlana Rostetska works as part of the Rights Lab's Law and Policy Programme to understand the rights and support needs of those who have become migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers as a result of conflicts, wars, economic crises and are potential victims of human rights violations, including all forms of trafficking, forced labour and modern slavery. In 2023, she worked on research projects in the Rights Lab about conflict and modern slavery, and in 2024 she is working on new research about the roles and approaches of anti-slavery civil society. She also is developing new research about trafficking risks for migrant, refugee and asylum seeker communities in the UK. She is from the Ukraine, where she previously worked as Associate Professor of Political Sciences.
