Richard Leach, Nicola Senin, Petros Stavroulakis, Patrick Bointon and Adam Thompson attended the joint ASPE/euspen Summer Topical Meeting on Dimensional Accuracy and Surface Finish in Additive Manufacturing, in Rayleigh, North Carolina from 27th to 30th June 2016. Richard was conference co-chair and the team presented a keynote comprising a series of short talks summarising the work being carried out in the UK to develop a strategy in metrology for additive manufacturing (AM) and the significant research work in metrology for AM being carried out at the University of Nottingham. Adam presented an oral paper on our work on AM surface texture and Patrick presented a poster paper on our work on AM surface form measurement. The event was attended by around 80 participants from industry and academia, and included lively debates on the key topics. The next meeting in the series will be held in Europe in 2017 (details will be posted on our Events page when available).
