MMT attended the 16th Met & Props Conference in Gothenburg
Richard Leach, Nicola Senin, Xiaobing Feng, Adam Thompson, Lewis Newton, Luke Todhunter, Anas Aburayt and Carlos Gomez attended the 16th International Conference on Metrology and Properties of Engineering Surfaces, Gothenburg, Sweden, from 26th to 29th May 2017. The meeting was attended by over 100 surface metrology experts and students, from a mixture of industrial and research backgrounds. Richard chaired a session and presented a keynote paper on work performed by Nicola Senin, Adam Thompson and himself, plus entitled “Additive manufacturing surfaces - the ‘true’ story”; summarising our work on measuring metal AM surface (Ann. CIRP, Meas. Sci. Technol.). The following oral papers were also presented by Adam Thompson (paper), Xiaobing Feng (paper) and Richard Leach (paper); along with the following posters by Anas Aburayt (paper, poster), Luke Todhunter (paper, poster), Lewis Newton (paper, poster) and Carlos Gomez (paper, poster).
The famous Professor David Whitehouse and Dr Ted Vorburger
Adam Thompson presenting on XCT of AM metal parts
Xiaobing Feng presenting on measurement noise of a point autofocus instrument
Dame Jane Jiang thanks the community for helping her get to the position of being made a Dame in the Queen’s Honours list
Richard Leach presenting on optical scattering with machine learning
Anas (right) presenting his poster on detecting the signature of motion stage non-linearity for FVM
Luke (left) presenting his poster on industrial survey on surface texture parameters
Lewis presenting his poster on FVM for EBM parts
Carlos presenting his poster on CSI for metal AM parts
