The 5th MICROMAN project meeting (15-16 June) and the 4th MICROMAN School in Precision Grinding (12-14 June) were held at the University of Bremen. They were well organised by the Labor Fur Mikrozerspanung (LFM) group. The Precision Grinding School provided students with a large range of topics, such as the use of ceramic material, strategies for precision grinding and surface texture measurement of ground surfaces. The School was divided into two parts: lectures and hands-on workshops on grinding machine tools. The first day of the meeting discussed the progress of all student projects and the second day discussed the technical progress of MICROMAN project. Additionally, all preparations for mid-term evaluation by the EU Commission that will be held in Leuven in September 2017 were also discussed.
