Ginny qualified from the University of Cambridge Vet School in 2011. She completed a yearlong internship program with the Royal Veterinary College, before spending time in private farm animal practice. She started a herd health residency in 2014 at the University of Nottingham. During this time she passed her European Diploma in Bovine Health and Management, as well as completing her MVM. Her research was focussed on youngstock herd health, particularly the impact of age of first calving in dairy heifers. In 2016 she started a PhD investigating faecal shedding of the mastitis pathogen Streptococcus uberis.
