After a number of years in University and cross-university roles, including as Associate Dean of the Graduate School and founding Director of the Midlands3Cities Doctoral Training Partnership, Professor of American Studies Sharon Monteith has been awarded a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship for three years beginning September 2017

Making Nottingham slavery-free

There are 46 million slaves around the world today, including thousands in the UK. But Nottingham took the first steps towards becoming a slavery-free city on Friday 18th November, through a public debate organised by the University of Nottingham and hosted at Nottingham Trent University
