Information Specialist, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences
Douglas has an MA in Information and Library Studies from Loughborough University and a PhD in Agricultural Science from the University of Nottingham. He is a Chartered Member of CILIP, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. Douglas worked for four years as the Information Specialist for the Centre for Evidence-based Veterinary Medicine (CEVM), and before that he was the Information Specialist for NHS Evidence - skin disorders (formerly the NLH Skin Disorders Specialist Library), based in the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology.
Douglas Grindlay is Information Specialist in the Division of Rheumatology, Orthopaedics and Dermatology, working on various aspects of evidence-based medicine, systematic reviews and database searching, and developing methods for disseminating research and assessing impact. His time is split between the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology and the Orthopaedics and Trauma Group.
