Current Research

His research is within the Composites Research Group, this is primarily investigating Automated Composite manufacturing technologies within the EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub (2017-2020) and the Materials Made Smarter Centre (2021 - 2024). This work primarily making developments in both equipment design and digitalization solutions for data extraction and processing during automated dry fibre placement.

Additional ongoing research is the development of an automated production method of producing low cost discontinuous carbon/epoxy moulding compounds using robot directed methods to simultaneously deposit chopped carbon fibre and liquid epoxy resin sprays.
