Biography

Antonia Stoyanova obtained her Bachelor's degree in English Philology from the University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, in 2010. She completed a Master's degree at the University of Sofia in 2012 specializing in Translation Studies. Currently Antonia is doing her PhD degree in English Linguistics at the University of Nottingham under the supervision of Dr Violeta Sotirova.

Antonia Stoyanova is working in the field of Stylistics and Narratology. Her research interests include narrative point of view and the linguistic construction of fictional consciousness. Her current research is focused on the writing style and narrative techniques of John Banville, and more particularly on the presentation of the 'divided self' in his novels.
