Gastrointestinal (GI) MRI

Presentations galore at international conference in Milan in May 2014

The GI MRI research team sent back in November 2013 a number of abstracts to an international MRI conference to be held in Milan, Italy in May this year. The results of the review process have just come out and our abstracts have all been accepted: two as oral and 5 as poster presentations.

The presentations will focus on:

  • The effect of feeding fatty foods on the brain response to the taste of fat
  • The mode of action of a macrogol based formula on colonic function in chronic constipation MRI
  • A new method of simultaneously monitoring lipid and glycogen levels in the liver using spectroscopy
