Key aims

 

Our research and events bring together international researchers from the fields of medicine, modern foreign languages and literatures, linguistic, computer science, applied mathematics, health humanities, psychology, education and critical theory with current and future healthcare professionals, practitioners, teachers, charities, pupils, students, and the general public.

 

Our aims and expertise

  • address the need for more research into the rising problem of eating disorders affecting men and boys

  • facilitate exchange between arts & humanities, science and medicine

  • further research across the disciplines that also includes eating disorders charities, schools and people affected by male eating disorders

  • raise awareness and support education amongst the wider public regarding eating disorders in men and boys

  • encourage creative collaborations and innovative approaches in the areas of eating disorders and mental health and wellbeing
