Analytic conversation: involving users in qualitative data analysis

Speaker: Professor Louise Locock, University of Aberdeen
Patient and public involvement in research is an established principle, but the question of how best to involve people in the data analysis phase is debated. Louise will discuss the literature on involving patient and public partners in qualitative data analysis, and share experience from patient involvement in a secondary data analysis project for NHS quality improvement. This has led to ‘analytic conversation’ as a pragmatic and acceptable way to bring the value of lived experience to analysis.

All are welcome. For more information contact Dr. Julie Roberts.

This seminar is part of a series funded by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Bart Fund and the School of Health Sciences Public Engagement Steering Group.
