Trent Valley Way Walk for Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre
Raising money for good causes again ….. WILL YOU JOIN US ON A SPONSORED WALK?
Denise Kendrick, Professor of Primary Care Research in the Division of Primary Care, has been persuaded to put on her walking boots again, along with over 40 colleagues, friends and family, to raise money for the new Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre. The new research centre is focussing on 3 key breast cancer topics and the University is raising funds to support this important research:
• Detect it Early
• Stop the Spread, and
• Treat it Right
The plan is a single day walk on Saturday 9th June along the Trent Valley Way from Nottingham to Newark.
There will be 3 options available:
5 miles – from Nottingham to Radcliffe on Trent
10 miles – from Nottingham to Gunthorpe
21.25 miles - from Nottingham to Newark
WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO WALK WITH US, SO PLEASE THINK ABOUT JOINING US. It will be a lovely walk and a great day out. You don’t have to come alone – the more people who walk with us, the more money we raise – so bring along your friends, family members and colleagues as well.
If you would like more information about joining the walk or could offer help with transport at either end of the day, please contact Pamela Pepper
