Having done a BSc In Physics I then worked as a secondary school / college teacher of Physics in Leicester/Leicestershire.
After doing this for nearly a decade I decided to return to University to do a Masters in Bioengineering. From there I was lucky enough to receive funding to study for a PhD at the University of Nottingham.
My background is Physics, and having worked as a teacher for many years my understanding of the foundations of the subject are very strong.
During my Masters and PhD I have developed expertise in Near Infrared Spectroscopy. My area of electronics focuses on measuring low light levels, specifically using fibre optics.
I have also developed a reasonable understanding of the physiology behind exercise and muscle behaviour.
