Postgraduate Researcher Experience Survey 2023

1st March to 30th April

This survey is not about league tables. Your insights and feedback will inform meaningful improvements in researcher provision, resources, and culture across the university. 

The last PRES survey held in 2021 led to various schools implementing improved student complaints processes, better computer and study space provision, PGR wellbeing days and seminars, teaching scholarships, postgraduate researcher Learning Community Forums (LCF), and many other developments.  

We will be donating £1 to the Children's Brain Tumour Centre for each survey completed.  There are over 3000 PGRs and UoN so that could make a big difference to the charity.

How to access your survey:

When the survey is open from 1st March to 30th April:

• Check your UON email to receive a message with your personal 'one-click' link to access the survey.

• Go to this address https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/advancehe23/pres2023-uon  
  
  - Respondent ID: Your 8-digit student ID number. 
  - Password: Your Date of Birth (format YYYYMMDD with no spaces or slashes e.g. 20030412) 

Survey eligibility:

This survey is for registered postgraduate researchers (PGRs) who are doing a PhD, MRes, MPhil or equivalent professional doctorate.

(Not eligible are post-January 2023 starters, Msc students, part-time doctoral students in their first year of study, those on 'no qualification' courses, and those temporarily studying at a different university or overseas campus.)
