George is a member of the University of Nottingham Technology Transfer team. He focusses on the commercialisation of technologies from the engineering and physical sciences area. George's background is in process engineering and he joined the University Technology Transfer Office in 2008 following a MEDICI Fellowship.
George also has responsibility for the management of EPSRC IAA proof of concept projects and he is also responsible for the growing network of Technology Demonstrator facilities across the campuses.
George was PraxisUnico 'Newcomer of the year' in 2010 and is a regular speaker on PraxisUnico training courses for technology transfer professionals.
George is a non-executive Director on the boards of Promethean Particles Ltd, a University spin-out company and Heartlight Systems Ltd a joint venture with Tioga Ltd of Derby.
George is also as an Associate with the Design Council developing methods and training for the use of design in technology transfer, and a Director of the Vermiculite Association, resulting from the ongoing commercialisation of new processing technology from the University.
