Vaccine hesitancy in younger people

Vaccination appointments were opened up yesterday for 25-year olds. Jess, who is in her 20’s, spoke to Sarah Julian and said she was in “no rush” to get the vaccination.

Sociologist Dr Pru Hobson-West has been looking into the reasons behind ‘vaccine hesitancy’ from people in their 20s.

“The risk of the disease is different across this age group, but research also shows that the question of trust is really important,” says Dr West.
