Irina is a former lawyer and civil servant from Romania, who came over to the UK in 2008 on a EU funded scholarship for the prestigious Young Professional Scheme, a fast track route into high-ranking public sector positions. After graduating from the MPA at London Metropolitan University, she moved on to doing her PhD at Alliance Manchester Business School (University of Manchester). Her academic career started there and continued on with adjunct positions on the Global MBA at the University of Manchester, the York School of Management (University of York), Warwick Manufacturing Group (University of Warwick) and an overseas lectureship at Sohar University (the Sultanate of Oman).
