Here to keep you safe
Here to keep you safe
Updated for Monday 19th July 2021 in-line with the latest government guidelines.
We have a range of measures in place across all of our facilities so you can enjoy your activity with us in a friendly and safe environment. Please see below for more detail. Please also view the University of Nottingham's Safety on Campus guidance here.
Our staff are here to help
All our staff are fully trained and will be on-hand to help support you and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Getting around our sports facilities
Please continue to enter/exit our sports facilities via the main entrances of each sports centre and to follow all customer signage in place to help you navigate to and from your activities.
Social distancing and face coverings
To help keep everyone safe the wearing of face coverings is now mandatory in all indoor areas on campus unless at least 1 metre separation can be maintained.
Managing numbers
Our team will closely monitor facility attendances to ensure that we continue to operate with compliance against our fire safety plan and to ensure we can continue to offer a safe environment for our customers.
Pre-booking all activities
Pre-booking is required for our swimming pool. Members and visitors are asked to book in advance to avoid disappointment and to arrive no more than 5 minutes ahead of your time slot. To book your next activity online click here or by call 0115 74 87000.
From Monday 19th July, pre-booking will be required for swimming, group exercise classes, courts, climbing and the health suite only to enable members and pay-as-you-go customers to plan and book these activities in advance. With capacities increasing from Monday 19th July onwards, pre-booking will no longer be required for use of the fitness suites at the David Ross Sports Village, Jubilee Sports Centre and Sutton Bonington Sports Centre.
Check in with the NHS COVID-19 app
QR codes are displayed across our facilities for customers to scan using the NHS COVID-19 app. Search 'COVID' in the app store to download the app for free and click here to find out more aboutt NHS Test and Trace.
Enhanced cleaning
We'll continue to clean our facilities to the highest standards throughout the day. We use high-grade anti-viral disinfectant and our team will regularly wipe down all equipment.
Hand sanitising and cleaning stations
Hand sanitiser stations will remain available for all customers to use when arriving at our facilities and fitness suites and to ensure you can easily clean your hands regularly. Equipment cleaning stations will also continue to be in place and we ask all customers to clean equipment before and after use.
Hand sanitising stations
We’ve added additional hand sanitiser stations so it’s easy for you to clean your hands regularly. We’ll also ask members to sanitise their hands when they enter our facilities and at the entrance to our fitness suites.
Student & Staff Asymptomatic Testing
All of our students and staff have access to the university’s testing service which detects the Coronavirus through a simple saliva sample to help control Covid-19 outbreaks. Regular testing of our staff and students not showing symptoms of the coronavirus offers reassurance, reduces onwards transmission of the virus, and helps to keep everyone safe.
Contactless entry
All of our access-controlled turnstiles allow for contactless entry. Simply hold your membership card (your student card if you are a University of Nottingham student) as normal over the turnstile reader
Contactless payments
If you need to make a purchase at our reception desk, we offer contactless payment options but can accept cash payments where required.
