Bring a face covering

In line with the government guidelines social distancing measures are no longer mandatory, however, the government expects and recommends that you wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces. Please remember to be respectful of others’ choices and do give people space where it is sensible or requested. We understand for some, returning to sport and physical activity may be new and we need your help to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

Bring your membership (student) card

Don't forget to bring your membership or student card for contactless entry into our facilities.

Arrive no more than 5 minutes before your activity

To avoid unnecessary queuing and to support social distancing, please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your activity. Contactless entry via our turnstiles, doors and gates for pre-booked sessions will be activated 5 minutes before the start time of your activity.

Arrive changed for your activity

All changing rooms and showers are available across our facilities for customers to use. Where possible, we do encourage customers to arrive ready and changed for your activity

Our accessible changing and showers are available for customers with a disability or long-term health condition. Please speak to a member of our team for assistance upon arrival.

Bring only essential personal belongings

All locker facilities are available for customers to use – don’t forget to bring your own padlock to ensure you can keep your belongings safe. You may bring mats, personal towels, foam rollers, gloves, straps, belts, lifting shoes and chalk to your activity where needed but we ask that these are stored in a small drawstring bag Please do not bring bags, coats or any other belongings to the activity spaces if they aren't essential.

Bring your own exercie mat for classes

We ask all members and customers to bring their own exercise mat where possible. However, a limited number will also be available to borrow in case you forget yours. You can also purchase an exercise mat from main reception.

Bring your own bottle filled with water

Water fountains will be available at all sports facilities but we ask you to bring bottles pre-filled where possible.

Refreshments and vending machines

Unfortunately the David Ross Sports Village Café remains closed for the interim whilst we prepare for it’s re-opening ahead of 2021/22. In the meantime, the Roaming Food Trailer located in front of the David Ross Sports Village is open 9am-7pm Monday-Friday and 9am-4pm on weekends providing hot and cold refreshments.

All vending machines across all sports centres are also available for customers to enjoy.

When you're here

Observe a safe social distance

We would like to ask all of our customers to be mindful and respectful of all facility users and to maintain a safe distance. We understand for some, returning to sport and physical activity may be new and we need your help to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable.

Getting around our sports facilities

Please continue to enter/exit our sports facilities via the main entrances of each sports centre and to follow all customer signage in place to help you navigate to and from your activities.

All customers visiting our sports facilities are required to wear a face covering (hidden conditions and medical exemptions apply) when walking through to and from your activity within indoor facilities and circulation spaces. Face coverings may be removed when exercising. We do ask all customers attending a face-to-face appointment with our Sports Injury Clinic team to wear a face covering.
