What is the Sport in Schools programme?
Passionate about your sport and would like to share it with other? Sport in Schools is a programme offering a series of introductory sessions in one sport to local schoolchildren in Nottingham. The sessions are tailored by the student leaders who deliver them, so you can implement your own ideas.
Volunteers on our Sport for Good programme will be asked to;
- Deliver a minimum of 6 weekly 2-hour sessions in a Nottingham primary or secondary school (or a whole day of activity).
- With our Sports Volunteer Officer's support, plan and design your sessions in advance.
- Introduce the basics of your sport to the young people in your group.
- Attend a training session at the beginning of the academic year or Term 2.
The programme is an ideal opportunity to develop transferable leadership skills and gain real work experience in the education and sporting sector.
