The University of Nottingham Sport will rebrand the Engage programme into the Just Play programme, which is designed to inspire students to take part in sport without any commitment.
Students are always trying to fit everything in when they first start university, which can be a challenge, so here at Nottingham it is now easier to take part and try new things.
Our Just Play programme offers a flexible way for undergraduate and postgraduate students to try out new sports and meet new friends in a fun and friendly environment.
With 25 different sports available, ranging from handball to lacrosse, dodgeball to cricket and football to equestrian - there really is something for everyone. Just Play sessions are delivered by student ambassadors are open to all regardless of skill or ability. There’s no requirement to commit to going every week and can take part in as many sessions as they can fit in!
Running across all three University of Nottingham UK campuses – the programme will provide multiple sporting opportunities over the whole academic year.
Commenting on the impact of the rebrand, Participation Sport Development Officer, Daniella Dutton said,
“The Engage programme has been running successfully for many years and we hope the rebrand will expose us to more participants and allow us to reach and target a different demographic of student. The core values of the programme remain the same and as ever, we are committed to running a fun, flexible and diverse timetable which will appeal to everyone and allow students to get active and meet like-minded people in a safe and comfortable environment!”
We encourage students to join the Just Play Facebook group, to keep up-to-date with the latest information.
All opportunities are set out in a Term timetable, with activities available every day of the week. Please check online for the termly timetable.
